Self Locking Feature (5/16″ wide slots)
Our EX-6, EX-7, EX-8, EX-52, EX-54, EX-61, EX-63, EX-64, EX-65, EX-66, EX-67, EX-68 and EX-69 extrusions have a 1 degree decline from the extrusion edge.
EX-1, EX-2, EX-26, EX-3 and EX-36 extrusion has a 2-3 degree decline from the extrusion edge to slot centerline.
EX-11, EX-12, EX-13, EX-14, EX-22, EX-70, EX-71, EX-72, EX-73 and EX-24 extrusions have a .5 – 1.0 degree decline from extrusion edge to slot centerline.
Recommended torque on fasteners
5/16-18 or m8 thread – 15 to 20 ft/lbs..
1/4-20 or m6 thread – 12 to 17 ft/lbs.
When fasteners are properly tightened, this feature serves as a lock mechanism to form a shake-proof, vibration-resistant connection.
